live, ride, work with bikes
More or less everybody has owned Shimano on one of their bikes at some point. Peronally, I'm a grip shift lover and have opted for SRAM X.0 Twist Grip shifters on many occasions over the last decade...
Spotted on www.bikebiz.com earlier was this Magura teaser video. Now I've seen a lot of sneak peak videos hinting at what might be coming before but this is amongst the most subtle I've ever seen. Bikebiz put the cludes together. The footage is shot on tarmac - so probably a road bike component - wet and difficult corner coming up so hydraulic brakes make sense. I trust the canti-mountain Raceline isn't making waves in the road market, so a road based hydro disc is probably likely. I'm not sure how many people...
One of my all time favourite mountain bike celebs is hauling ass through Andorra with a mate on a KTM in this video. Don't all us mountain bikers wish we could rip it up on a cross bike across the countryside like this? These guys spend most of the time going up hill, but i'd dream about having this in my back yard for the downs on my bike!
Shooting home bike footage has always been a pleasurable experience. Even using a compact digital camera on film mode can pull out some effective results. But, when you try playing around with slow...
In 2007 I spent two months riding the best bike park and surrounding areas you could imagine in Whistler. I became a much better rider because of it and came away with many friends. This video was the second video I shot at Whistler on..you guessed it, Day 3. I was 18.5st (252lbs) when this video was shot. I'm in it a little but so are others. A good sample of some of the trails accessible from the Garbanzo lift!
I spent the day riding the Whistler Bike Park with ladies man Phil Grundy. He was a rad and smooth rider and all round top bloke. I was following down various trails with the camera on my head.
I wasn't on this ride but the two guys who filmed it, had me help them loop it together on my Mac. It's a reasonable home made vid really giving you an idea of the Sublime riding available off the tourist beaten BC track.
Whistler in 2007 was epic. A trip to CwmCarn the following spring with the people I met and loved so much. We were so lucky to get a bone dry day. It made the CwmCarn down hill tril sublime and so fast. Lift services were supplied by CwmDown. Cwmcarn/CwmDown - May 2008 from bikedibley.com on Vimeo.
A short mix of riding from Whistler. I spent two months there in 2007 and took loads of poor quality footage. I mixed this together to giv eyou a snap shot of what it was like. I lost lots of footage on a Mac attack sadly. Again...no HD!
